Brookwood High School

Expected graduation:

May 2020

Degree objective:

B.S. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; B.S. Genetics; B.S. Biology

Research Interests:

Fireflies communicate with their mates using flashes or glows of light. For optimal detection during mating displays, each species emits a specific light color ranging from green to orange. To understand more about firefly signal evolution, I am studying how this range of light color is produced. Our research integrates behavior, field biology, and comparative transcriptomics.

I support the Writing Intensive Program as a Teaching Assistant and volunteer with EcoReach (student-led outreach group).
