Research Interests:

My research is focused on understanding how chromatin structure contributes to gene expression. Specifically, I am investigating circadian changes to histone modifications and chromatin accessibility and their involvement in CAM photosynthesis, a water-efficient mode of photosynthesis. I use a comparative genomics approach in three species of Yucca L., each of which exhibit contrasting modes of photosynthesis, including CAM.
